Note. Mr Tomlin's impression that he had increased the Guard one Indian the of the Stone bang by Police Constable is evidently erroneous, and caused by fact of his having found a Sentry as on one occasion he states postel where he considered it useless to have join one, and ordered him to the Stone bang - whereas the actual fact was that on that day the Stone bang Guard was short of one Indian Police Constable.

I recollect when the Hulk was connected with the shore we used the large Boat to carry stone. Shortly after a Stone Barge was sent. pulled by the Stone Barge was Convicts with a Police Boat in attendance. the Barge has been sailed. I heard the Superintendent order the sails to be taken away- I never remember the barge being towed; the large boat never was used for towing purposes, nor the jolly boat either. I recollect
